Members of VSRDA recently renewed their First Aid and CPR with AED for Adults, Children and Infants -in February. After years of recertifications, members were spot-on with quick answers to exercise questions. Knowing CPR is a skill requiring practice and refreshment because techniques for CPR have changed in recent years.

VSRDA responds to search for missing 3-year old
VSRDA responded to a search for a missing 3-year old on December 6th. The child was out overnight in sub-25 degree weather with two young puppies. While VSRDA members and a dog were on a task, the boy was found alive by another search team.

2007 Fairfax County "Citizens Awards"
"Several members of the Virginia Search and Rescue Dog Association were recognized this last May by Fairfax County Police Chief, Colonel Rohrer, for aid given to the agency last year in assisting to bring to a close several cold cases of missing persons.
